NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

Weighted Average of Renovated and Addition energy saving targets

Hello, I've searched the forum but haven't found a definite answer. I have building consisting of 86% existing and 14% addition and I would like to calculate the weighted average energy savings percentage and points for the project. I need to show a step-by-step calculation on how I can achieve this. I would like to do this without using any forms. For example, if the total combined building achieves 30% cost savings better than ASHRAE 90.1-2007 for new construction, how does my calculation start? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you

The formula can be found in Section 4.2 of the Advanced Energy Modeling Guide for LEED.
