I need clarification about the LEED heat island calculator. Please explain to me the difference between the weighted area and the area in the non-roof measures calculator? I assume the combination of these areas should equal the toal hardscape area, is that correct?

Hi Osman, In the form, do you mean the two right-most columns in the Nonroof Measures table? The calcs for this credit can get confusing if you try to figure out what the background functions are doing on your own, just by looking at it (I, for one, never try to do these calcs by hand - much easier to let the form do them for me). But, if you want to see the background math, Step 5 under Opt 1 in the Step-by-Step Guidance section for this credit breaks it down for you.
