WE credit 4 Water Metering, requires the following. However our building has at most two of the items on the list and the credit requires five. This is likely because we are certifying a clinic and not a full hospital. Can certification be achieved if those five installs cannot be achieved?

Hi Naten,
I can't see the list you reference, but I assume you mean the list at the bottom of the credit that starts with purified water systems (reverse-osmosis, de-ionized); filter backwash water, etc. The project cannot earn the credit if only two are metered, even if there are only two types of uses present in the project. However, this is a credit, not a prerequisite, so it is not required for certification. I recommend reaching out to your GBCI reviewer with project-specific information and/or submitting a CIR if you have extenuating circumstances that you feel warrant a different approach in this instance.

Hi Naten, did you end up submitting a CIR. We have a care centre with a similar issue.

Hi Naten, we are also in similar circumstances. What was the outcome for your project in regards to this issue?
