We are slaying high-performance buildings in Boston, AND NEED MORE HELP!

Like everyone we’re struggling with the tight labor market. We’re not looking to poach. What we have found previously are individuals that have a passion for high-performance buildings but aren’t working on them in their current role for one reason or another.

Openings include:

Project Manager              3-5 years’ experience on the design, build or owner side

Project Engineer              Electrical Engineer that is PE or PE track, 5-10 years’ experience, MF and higher ed bldg types

Project Engineer              Mechanical Engineer that is PE or PE track, 5-10 years’ experience, MF and higher ed bldg types

CPHC and Wufi modeler    3-5 years’ experience energy modeling, sustainability consulting, CPHC credentials

Passive House has truly taken off in Massachusetts. We are a sustainable firm with 44 large PH projects under our belt with many more in the pipeline.

Petersen Engineering is a small and growing 30-person MEP/FP firm with offices in Boston and Portsmouth, NH. Our core values are Honest and Friendly, Committed to Smart Sustainable Design, Can-do, Collaborative, Thirst for Learning, and DEI. We are the only MEP/FP firm I know of that has achieved gender parity.

The design and build partners that we work with embrace an iterative design approach, perhaps because one can’t pull off Passive House without it. It has been a rewarding work environment for us and our architect clients.

We completed our first multi-family Passive House project 10-years ago. Back then we latched onto PH because it aligned with our approach of dramatically reducing energy use in buildings through an iterative process, really good enclosures and designing building systems to be as simple as possible and sized in low heating and cooling loads.
