Hi everyone! On our project, we have installed wc flushing valves that can be manually adjusted to gain higher water use reduction. This is specified in manufacturer's catalogue. This adjustment would be applyied by installer and/or building facilities manager. We wanted to know if we can declare this reduction in calculator. Maybe it would be convinient to attach a commitment letter from installer/manager to garantee how these valves would be adjusted and how much water flow they would have during operations. Is this a possible path?

Hi,
I have not seen/attempted this type of fixture, but I had a similar, adjustable light fixture a while back where I asked LEED Coach if we could claim the better efficiency available, with a commitment. Their answer was 'no', we had to assume worst case, as there was no way to guarantee that the lights would not be adjusted after installation to always be at their highest levels.
I'm afraid the response here would likely be similar--they would require you to document the worst case for the Prereq/Credit. I would email LEED Coach and ask them to be sure, though.
