NC-v4 WEp2:Indoor water use reduction

WaterSense Labeled Products

Reference Guide indicates WaterSense label requirements are mandatory in U.S. It appears Compliance Path 2 Usage-Based Calculation can be used to show that, in aggregate, non-WaterSense labeled fixtures can be installed if they comply with prerequisite requirements. Therefore, WaterSense labeling requirements are not mandatory, correct?

Hi Mark In the US, the WaterSense label is mandatory in v4 regardless of path. In the form you'll need to complete a checkbox stating that all applicable fixtures (tank type toilets, urinals, private lav faucets and showerheads) are WaterSense labeled and provide product cutsheets or manufacturer information to this effect. This should make it relatively easy to meet the prerequisite threshold using the usage-based approach since WaterSense fixtures are already 20% or more below baseline.

Does this still hold for existing fixtures? My impression was that all NEW fixtures were to be WaterSense labeled, but obviously couldn't be if they were already installed. True?
