NC-2009 EAp2: Minimum Energy Performance
I have to model a building which is using solar pannels electric heaters. But they also have an electric resistance as back up for those moments when solar heat is not enough.
How should I model this situation?,

A portion of our building envelope is historic. Can we exclude it from our model?

So are solar panel electric heaters simply PV panels connected to electric heaters? If so model the electric heating using the building's grid-connected electric source and add the PV contribution separately as a renewable energy source.
If not please explain how this works in more detail.
