CS-2009 MRc2:Construction Waste Management

Waste use for leveling

If a project sent construction waste, meaning gypsum, concrete and masonry; to another construction site for leveling, is this considered a diversion from landfill? Thank you.

Michael - I would say yes because this material is diverted from the landfill. I would suggest getting a letter documenting the use on the other site and possibly a few photographs.

That's exactly what we are doing, requesting a letter from the other construction site's owner or project manager stating amount of material recieved and attaching photographs demonstrating type of material recieved and final use of the now leveled site. Thank you Michelle!! If we get any feedback during construction review we'll make sure to post it here.
