I am working on a project that has two parts to the building. There is an office component and a shop component. The office is going to be heated and cooled with a VRF system. The shop will not be air conditioned but will just be heated 100% from a waste oil burner. The oil is used from the trucks that they use at the facility. Does anybody have any experience with something like this? How is this handled regarding energy modeling, etc.? The cost of the fuel should be 100% associated with the trucks that used the fuel. The shop portion of the building is getting the benefit of zero cost fuel. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. We are also thinking of applying for an innovation credit. Thanks.
