Walkable Project Site - Historic Building Exemptions

The Walkable Project Site innovation credit provides possible exemptions from two of the requirements for historic buildings. The typical building needs to meet eight of the nine requirements. If the historic building needs to take advantage of one or both of the exemptions, does it need to meet all the remaining requirements? Or is the requirement one less than those applicable (i.e. six of seven, or seven of eight)?

I am working on a historic building right now, and it is pursuing pretty much every historic designation possible. I'm guessing the threshold for compliance remain at one less than the applicable requirements, but wanted to see if anyone could confirm.

Hi Sara, Great question - I agree with your logic, and would pursue with attempting to achieve with 1 less than the applicable requirements (provided that the building cannot be modified to meet these 2 exemptions without altering key historic features). If this is a final submitter and you're counting on this point, I would recommend submitting a clarification question to a LEED coach.

Hi Sara, did you ever resolve this issue? I am working on a similar project and have the same question.
