NC-2009 IEQc4.1: Low-Emitting Materials—Adhesives and Sealants
I am reviewing a submittal for duct sealant Hardcast Flex-Grip 550 which specifies a VOC limit of 75g/l (less water). In terms of SCAQMA 1168 is this product considered an architectural sealant or does this fall in the 'other' category?

How do I determine what application my product falls under?
How is VOC % less water determined for aerosol adhesives?
Do grout and caulking need to be included, and if so, what is the application category?

There is a CIR (6/26/09) that clarified this: "Project teams may classify duct sealants under “Other”, as listed in the SCAQMD VOC Limits table."
