EBOM-v4 LTc1:Alternative transportation

Visitors not required to be surveyed

The summary tab of the calculator calculates the weighted overall alternative transportation rate of the regular occupants and the visitors. However, for a project type not listed in Table 2 (Reference Guide, p. 43) and for which visitors do not need to be surveyed, the weighted overall alternative transportation does count a 0% of visitors transportation rate thus dropping the weighted overall rate. To our understanding, for such projects the weighted overall rate should match the regular occupants rate only. Would this make sense?

I think in cases where visitors aren't required to be surveyed you would leave all visitor information in the calculator tab blank. That way visitors won't inappropriately affect the weighted overall alternative transportation rate.

Thanks Trista. As this project has now been certified, we explained the situation to the reviewer and used the v3 calculator instead, which was accepted.
