Will specing a low (40%>) VLT  in vision glazing as a glare control measure affect this credit?

Specing a low VLT glass as your glare control device is not allowed. Glazing cannot be the glare control device. Now, can a low VLT glazing effect this credit in regards to achievement, yes and no. It depends on the climate, amount of glazing, and the size of the space.

Thanks for the response. Where can I find guidance on whether or not it will affect the credit? I don't see any mention in the credit requirements.

If 100% of a room meets the sDA requirement and 80% fails to meet the ASE requirement, will the 20% the satisfies this credit be counted or is the entire room eliminated? I ask because the daylight calculator if not account for the area failing to meet for the ASE requirement. Thanks.

Read IES LM 83. It is the document that is that basis for the requirements.

As noted in in IES LM 83, any space with an ASE of 10% more does not meet the requirements. Therefore, the room is not counted towards compliance.
