Im confused on many fronts. 1) taking over LEED documentation for someone who recently left, and I know little about the project - or LEED v3 online. 2) MR form that comes up for MR c 3-7 is a "beta" form. On the 2nd page of this form (regardless which credit you click on) - it ask to select which credit you are attempting. I do not understand why it is asking this - clearly if you are in credit 4 and open the form, you are attempting credit 4 (????).
whoever filled out this table before i got this project had only credit 4 checked (under every credit).. and yet we are clearly pursuing other MR credits besides 4. Do I click multiple credits on this form - and do this under each credit form?
hell, this even sounds confusing just to ask.
if anyone can give me some sanity, please do!!!

1. You've found the right place.
2. A Beta form is simply an early version of the form from when v3 was just coming out. Your project was likely registered early. If you want, you can have the GBCI update the form but it may mean you lose data. I have beta forms for this credit on several jobs. One has kept using the LEED Online form and one has moved to the downloadable matrix. Another was updated at my request.
3. If you are going after other MR credits, by all means click the boxes at the top of page two. Those other credit reporting requirements will become active (brown colored on my screen) on the form below.
4. The other credits in LO point back to this form. Are you having problems filling out MRc5 at the moment?
5. If you are the architect, you can get the contractor to fill out their potions in LEED Online by inviting them to the team. The MR credits are construction review and dependant on the contractor's actions. Generally speaking, as architects we have the contractors fill out the paperwork for MR and many IEQ credits. We do the review/verification work.
6. Depending on how much is loaded into LEED Online, you may want to take a serious look at the matrix. It is an excel version of the form but it is easier to use and to share and highlight as you go along.
7. Breathe. It is overwhelming at the moment but gets easier. Some of us may self medicate more than others. ;)

it is overwhelming at times. passing the LEED exam was one thing, but that hardly prepared me.

I think that you win the prize, Susan, for the most densely packed amount of help in one reply! (I especially like the unsolicited advice about self-medication!)

Michael,
Beware if you choose to update any of your forms from Beta. I went through this with two projects and we chose not to because we would have lost nearly everything that had already been entered because so many of the forms are linked to other credits. Make sure you get clarification from the USGBC prior to updating the forms for a credit that you will NOT lose any information from/for other credits.
