Apart for from added costs, are there additional requirements that the construction team should be aware of in terms of onsite sorting/ specific dumpster requirements that need to be met in-order to assist the third party verified recycling vendor?

Your best bet is to have the team work with the recycling vendor to determine their requirements. Onsite sorting will be dictated by estimating amounts of various waste streams to determine whether source-separation is viable. It's also determined by the separation capabilities of the vendor's material recovery facility. Lots of variables that can only be resolved by good communication with the recycling vendor.
Note also that the use of the verified recycling vendor did not increase waste mgmt. costs for our project.
