NC-2009 IEQp1:Minimum IAQ Performance

ventilation through docks

Hi all, I'm working on a distribution center project that intakes the air by docks and exhusts it through fans in the roof. Is it natural or mechanical ventilation? Another question concerns the ASHRAE requirement which says that Air Intake Minimum Separation Distance from the truck loading area or dock should be 25 feet. In my case it's impossible as the dock is the air intake. Is there any exception to this requirement?
