We are going to demonstrate the compliance with the prerequisite using OPTION 2. CEN STANDARDS EN 15251–2007 AND EN 13779–2007. According to those standards, no mechanical ventilation is needed in the parking garage. Can we avoid mechanical ventilation in the parking garage? In that case, shall the parking garage comply with the requirements for natural ventilation of ASHRAE 62.1?
It seems that “v2009_IEQ Space Matrix_April 2015” and Reference guide don’t mention parking garage.

I never had a GBCI review on ventilation using that standards, so no safe answer but only thoughts. I have never seen any form or template that asks for exhaust rates required by ASHRAE, neither in version 3 nor 4. It seems, exhaust rates are of less interest for LEED.
In an ongoing project far from design review submission the low-frequent use parking garage will have natural ventilation. According to the design team this is ok with the authorities. One of the two standards gives a ventilation calculation based on expected emissions other than people or building, I can't recall which on. Maybe that can help.
Given the fact that I never had to document exhaust rates I assume anything that is in line with the authorities having jurisdiction is fine with LEED.
