vehicle travel way-definition

Hi, we have one project that meets all SSpc14 credit requirements but street trees. One side of the building (not the main entrance) is located by the on-site car park. We don't have trees between the pedestrian footpath and the car park and I'm not sure if the car par is defined as "vehicle travel way" or not. Could you please advice? many thanks in advance for your help, Regards,

I would think if vehicles are going to be driving into the car park, that hardscape area would be considered a vehicle travel way.
