Andrew, if the polish is a maintenance product then it is not part of the low-emitting materials credits. Polish is usually considered a temporary measure and often is optional for use. If that is the case here, you shouldn't need to report it. If you are looking into Green Housekeeping measures it might come into play then.

I've never heard that a wet applied floor polish applied at the time the project is under construction would not fall under the low emitting LEED credits even for v4. Someone please confirm this with a USGBC or GBCI quote or webpage link. Thanks!

Hi Debra. Floor polish isn't considered to be a coating by either CARB 2007 Suggested Control Measure for Architectural Coatings, or the South Coast SCAQMD Rule 1113, 2011.

Thank you. I don't see how is it not a floor coating under 1113.
It coats the floor and is over 1 liter in size.

Hi Debra. I'll take it back. The r1113 definition is straightforward "a material which is applied to a surface in order to beautify, protect, or provide a barrier to such surface." Floor Polish VOCs are also specifically under other regulations, i.e.: USEPA, Environment Canada, but I see your point.
