NC-v4.1 EAc5:Renewable Energy

v4.1 Renewable energy with v4.0 EAc2 Energy Performance

Just want to make sure its OK to use the v4.1 version of renewable energy credit with a v4.0 project that is using the v4.0 version  of EAc2 Energy Performance.

I didn't see this discussed here, and searched a bit on the USGBC site, didn't see this addressed, so I assume it is OK - does anyone know for sure?

Hi Chris, we used the v4.1 version of the renewable energy credit with energy performance results from version 4.0, and it has been awarded, so it will work.

We successfully used that combination - where we did not upgrade EAc2 Optimize Energy Performance but we did upgrade EAc5 Renewable Energy Production (along with EAc7 Green Power and Carbon Offsets).  The reviewer did not make any comments about it.

Thank you both, very helpful!  Seems pretty definitive then.

Bryna, When you upgraded EAc7 Green Power and Carbon Offsets to v4.1, did you upload all of the same information that it's asking for that was submitted for EAc5 Renewable Energy (v4.1) or was it enough to note for the reviewer, under Special Circumstances, to reference the RE credit since all of this information is there?

Amie, we did not upload anything into EAc7. We included a note in the EAc5 documentation that we had upgraded to the v4.1 credit and that was sufficient. In LEEDonline they marked the awarded points in both EAc5 and EAc7 even though all of our documentation was in the EAc5 space.
