Utility tariff - an accepted DR strategy?

Hi, Our electricity tariff for industries has a time based component and peak demand (kVA) component. For example during peak time the tariff will be higher than the off peak hours and there is also a fee based on peak kVA consumption. Does this qualify as an acceptable DR strategy under V4?

I don't think that an off-peak tariff alone would qualify. Typically the facility needs to be able to reduce load during peak electrical usage on the grid. In both cases above the demand must be reduced by 10% when the grid needs to shift loads. While a tariff might incentivize this action it does not guarantee that it will happen.
