With LEED V4, we are using the online credit library regularly. Many of our staff are frustrated at how slow the lookup and retrieval is. Maybe it's because we're in the desolated northern wasteland of downtown Vancouver, Canada, but somehow I doubt it.
In general, I'm wondering if this is an experience many others are having, and if so has the USGBC indicated that they're trying to improve it?

This has been the same experience for me since day 1 with LEED since 2007. Sorry to say, but true. I've tested it on numerous different computers, in different offices, at home, different times during the day, different browsers, etc, to no avail. Both USGBC and LEED Online are pretty much always slow.
My best mode d'emploi?
- use Chrome for USGBC.org
- use FireFox for LEED Online (esp for the templates); if you can't get FireFox, IE is the only other option I've found available
- if at all possible, use both/either websites when the fewest number of people across the US would be using it. East coast people are best in the AM before everyone else gets to work, west coast in the PM after all the east coast people have gone home.
- within your browser, use multiple tabs within your window rather than navigate back and forth on a single tab
Hope this helps. It's the best way I've found to cope.
