FAQs about MRc4 :

I have recycled content information for a product, but it doesn’t specify whether it is pre-consumer or post-consumer. What should I do?

The recycled content percentage on the product data sheet is given as a range. What should I do?

The manufacturer can't give me product-specific recycled content data, but they say that they fall within the national industry average. Can I use that?

Is the default average recycled content value of 25% for steel still allowed?

Used Furniture with Recycled Content

Our project is a TI which includes the renovation of several floors of a corporate office building. The tenant is bringing with them a substantial amount of used furniture. This used furniture will contribute towards MRc3.2 and MRc5. If the used furniture contains recycled material can we use this to contribute to MRc4 Recycled Content?

No, materials claimed under MRc3.2 do not count towards MRc4, but can,as you stated, count towards MRc5.
