Hello all, I would like to share an upcoming Virtual and In-Person conference for NOMA (National Organziation of Minority Architects). Non-members can register, but I encourage anyone to join the organization to support the organization's mission.
"NOMA’s mission, rooted in a rich legacy of activism, is to empower our local chapters and membership to foster justice and equity in communities of color through outreach, community advocacy, professional development and design excellence."
Specifically, there are some topics that discuss sustainability with respect to issues of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
There is so much we are learning and advocating for the work that we due in the built environment, but there is also much to learn about undoing what the built environment has done to marginalized communities in particular.
This is is now listed on the Peer Networks Hub Calendar in Outside Events. I've included the link in here as well.
October 20-23, 2021. Virtual or In-Person in Detroit.
