We have a building that consists of new, renovated and unrenovated area. We are using builidng area method for lighting power density. For the unrenovated area, should we still use 90.1 maximum or model the same for proposed and baseline?
Thanks in advance!

Existing lighting is modeled in the baseline per Appendix G using the 90.1 allowance. The proposed is modeled as it exists.

Existing HVAC is modeled the same as the lighting. Baseline is Appendix G, proposed is as it exists.

Marcus we have a similar situation concerning exterior lighting. No changes will be made to this system but the LPD is higher that allowed by ASHRAE. Just to clarify, this system is exempt if no changes are made and it is modeled as-is for the proposed case. Is this correct?

Yes that should be OK. Make sure to provide a narrative explanation to the reviewer. If you just provide the input data only they will question it.
