Two story atrium - include 2nd floor in gross area calculations?

We have a project that has a two story atrium, running across the 1st and 2nd floor. Is the 2nd floor atrium (empty) space included in the gross area calculations or not? Thanks in advance for any answers / comments

Jiri - go with the BOMA definition for gross area standard (i.e. the total FLOOR area contained within the measure line).
