NC-2009 PIf4:Schedule and Overview Documents

Translation to american english

Is it mandatory to translate the mechanical drawings to american english. The project is originally designed in spanish. GH

Our projects in Taiwan always have all drawings originally created in Mandarin Chinese. We typically only translate the significant parts related to specific credits. For the general MEP uploads within PI Form 4, we do not translate the drawings unless the reviewer comes back with a question. We typically hope that although the language is in Chinese, the plans should still be similar in scope, and thereby easy enough to understand the basic layout and systems.
