Hello,
For my mixed use residential project the reviewer has asked to provide number of transient users for the residential portion.
Does LEED specify a standard to calculate the number of transients for residential use? If so, where can I find it in the reference guide.
If not, any advice what would be a good way to estimate (that you might have use on one of your projects).

I am working on a residential project right now and am searching out this very thing on LEED User because find this in the in the Reference Guide.
I would also love some clarification on this as well if anyone in the LEED User community has addressed this in the past - please share.! (Or - Eeshoo - have you found clarity on this yet since your question posed was several months ago?)
When working on office buildings, the property manager will take a swag / a wild guess.... but it's never questioned during LEED review.

The building owner owns a couple other similar size multi-family buildings in the same neighborhood. So he was able to survey his tenants and we used those numbers. No magic, no major math.
We haven't yet resubmitted, so don't know if it will fly...

Has anyone received a response on how to calculate the number of transients (visitors) for a residential building? I am guessing at .5 visitors per unit but that seems excessive for a building with a large amount of units. I am open to suggestions.
