For those of you that use Trace 700 and are familiar with the fairly new feature, the "LEED Energy Performance Summary Report", that Provides all the information for each section of the EAp2 template, have you ever uploaded it as a supporting document? For instance, instead of spending hours re-entering all my inputs into the Section 1.4 tables spreadsheet, could I upload this document, which provides all the required Section 1.4 information? It provides ALL of the requested information in a very clear format. (It also provides all the information for most the other sections, but I wouldn't try to replace anything that must be filled out in the actual template with an uploaded document.) Just wondering if anybody had tried this successfully. In the past I've always just used the output and re-entered it all in the provided spreadsheet. It just seems like a waste of time.

In our experience this report provides about half of what is asked for in the Section 1.4 spreadsheet. It is a good start. Once it does supply all of the requested information in an easy to read format I would think GBCI would accept it instead of the Section 1.4 spreadsheet.
One drawback to full automation when it comes to modeling is that many folks have a tendancy to simply accept the results without much thought. Automation ultimately leads to a lack of understanding in many cases. Just ask a bunch of modelers in California what is in their Title 24 baseline building.
