Hi!
In a project that will be built on a previous developed site that was much larger the contractor implements the site facilities on part of the demolished area.
The LEED project will just occupy a part of the demolished area as the investor will develop other projects in later construction phases not subject to LEED certification.
The demolished concrete structure was crushed on the spot to be used for road sublayer and frost breaking layer beneath the new development.
Incorporating the site facilities into the project boundary leads to a site area so large that we will loose SSc5.2.
Can we use the smaller figure consisting of the piece of property that belongs to this LEED project?
Thanks!

Doreen, per MPR#3 Must Use a Reasonable Site Boundary, your boundary must include "all contiguous land that is associated with and supports normal building operations for the LEED project building, including all land that was or will be disturbed for the purpose of undertaking the LEED project". See the MPR3 forum for more information:

Hi Kimberly,
thanks for responding!
As described above much more land was disturbed than the portion that forms the future LEED project. Reason being the fact that the previous development was much bigger.
How about this passage from NC-2009 MPR3 add. guidance:
Temporary structures erected for the purposes of supporting construction administration work that will be removed at construction completion, are not subject to this MPR and will not be required to certify.
Thanks for your comment!
