Can a backup generator qualify, if it runs on biofuels?

NC-2009 EAc2:On-Site Renewable Energy

Timing outsourced solar plan on-site / the building

Hi All,

I have a question regarding the development of a new building on a existing plant. Prior to the construction a solar plant will be installed on-site (not a building) and connected to the building. The system is outsourced to a third party and will be operational by September 2018. The construction of the building will take place later. Is this time issue a problem for obtaining this credit (other demands like the contract will be in place)?

No it should be fine as long as the project meets the requirements for utilizing power from this system.
