Hello Sustainable Design Leaders!

Here at BuildingGreen we are excited and looking forward to creating a valuable and engaging online summit with you all for 2020!

You can Register HERE as well as review important information.

The Summit will happen throughout the week of July 13. The specific meeting times are:

3:00 to 5:00 EDT on Monday, July 13
One of the following deep-dive sessions: (EACH PERSON WILL ONLY PARTICIPATE IN ONE DEEP-DIVE SESSION)

11:00 to 4:00 EDT on Tuesday, July 14
11:00 to 4:00 EDT on Wednesday, July 15
11:00 to 4:00 EDT on Thursday, July 16

11:00 to 1:00 EDT on Friday, July 17

This is a crazy time, full of uncertainty and fear for our health, and for our livelihoods. In recognition of that, we’ve set three prices for this event, and invite you to choose one based on your circumstances. If you’re in a pinch financially, and your firm won’t allow the expense, we welcome you to take advantage of the reduced rate (see the registration page). We don’t want anyone to be left out for lack of funds!

On the previous monthly Steering Group call, it was requested that a PDF invitation (see attached) be provided to you all for submitting to your firms that included the top ticket price. As stated above, if you are not able to pay this amount, there are three ticket price options--choose the one that works best for your situation! If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to reach me via email, roseann@buildinggreen.com.

Hi SD Leaders! If you haven't yet completed the pre-Summit Survey, it's not too late! The previously announced deadline has passed, but we'll keep the survey open until Monday morning. On Monday we'll be finalizing the main topics for each of the three deep-dive days. So far, the leading contenders (based on survey responses and Steering Group input) are:

Embodied carbon/mass timber/existing building reuse
Justice (JEDI) and Sustainability--maybe kick-starting the conversation Alison just invited us into today?
Electrification/decarbonization
Health/wellness/Covid-19 responses

In case you missed it, the plan is that each participant will join for the opening and closing sessions on Monday and Friday, and for ONE of the three deep dive days. There will also be time on all three days for exploring how all these issues are affecting our roles as Sustainable Design Leaders, and how we can advocate and engage beyond our firms to make the change we want to see. Even if you can't join us in the Summit we'd love to have your thoughts in the Survey--though we'll prioritize the responses from those who are coming when we set the agenda. And there is still time to sign up for the Summit as well. We've just passed 60 registrations, and we're planning to accommodate up to 90--with great big gatherings in the opening and closing sessions, and more intimate working groups on each of the three deep dive days. And with the three pricing tiers, we're hoping that cost isn't a barrier to anyone who wants to participate. We're really looking forward to engaging with lots of you very soon! Nadav
