Thermal Comfort Controls

If the project is meeting Thermal Comfort Design (ASHRAE 55) via zoned heating but without AC (temperate climate zone)... is it acceptable to use mini desk fans at each working station to comply with thermal comfort controls since the air speed is changing?

Hi Jenelle, I would look at the requirements for naturally-ventilated spaces in ASHRAE 55 Section A.2. If the summer outdoor temperatures are in the right range, you should be able to meet the requirements for Option 1. Mini desk fans are definitely an eligible thermal comfort control for this credit.
