Testing the SRI of a paint

A paint is going to be applied to the cover of parking spaces. The cover is made of asphalt. The SRI of the paint is tested when the paint is applied to cardboard. Shall the SRI test be repeated in order to evaluate that when it is applied to asphalt?

Was this project reviewed?  Just wondering what the outcome was, is coating parking asphalt with paint an exeptable measure for the non-roof surfaces.

Hi Adolfo,   Based on this LEED Interpretation, (https://www.usgbc.org/leedaddenda/10411), LEED specified that concrete can be white and gray. So, in term for asphalt, coating asphalt can also be used as one of measures to meet the SR requirement. But, people usually use conventional black asphalt (SR can’t comply to LEED).   The following research can explain that different coating colors in asphalt will affect the SR value.
