I am working with a LEED CS project. My question is, whether commercial refrigeration units in leased supermarket areas must be included in the calculations?

The credit language talks about including all BASE BUILDING HVAC&R equipment (which I assume only covers the equipment serving the building spaces). However, it is also mentioned that commercial refrigeration equipment must be included.

Since we are dealing with a CS project (Tenant activity & equipment not included in the LEED scope), I would assume that this credit only requires the inclusion of the base building systems and not any tenant owned refrigeration equipment such as those typically found in supermarkets.

Any help regarding this issue is much appreciated!
