Hi Kristi, I don't know if any alternatives to the radius have been discussed, but as it's a pilot credit it seems like a good chance to propose one. I think your best bet would be to cite a universal design guide or guidance from an accessibility consultant on your project - something that demonstrates your design is meeting the credit intent of going beyond code minimums and seeking expertise on accessibility. I'd expect a reviewer to be looking through your plans with #1 as a checklist and looking for reasonable justification when they don't match up with the credit specifications.
