Sustainability objectives on G-sheets

At the recent All Networks Workshop in Seattle, I listened with interest to some conversation about including sustainability goals, KPI's, critical materials lists, and other related topics on a G-sheet in the drawing set.  This is something I had not previously considered, but would like to learn more about.

If you work for a design firm that does this, what do you include? Would you be willing to share representative samples of how you've done this successfully in the past?

If you work in construction, what would be most useful for you to see on a G-sheet as relates to sustainability?  Would you be willing to share representative samples of how you've done this successfully in the past?

Thanks, all!

We have been including EUI goals for 6 years. It was before zero tool, so I created a spreadsheet tool that generates a speedometer graphic, showing baseline, project goal, and 2030 goal. We are currently talking about including F4DE goals. I would also love to see any ways others are tracking sustainability goals beyond EUI! Our G-sheet template includes the Design Excellence spider chart from the Common App and key performance metrics for the ten Design Excellence principles. We also have space on the sheet to include diagrams or charts that further communicate performance priorities for each project. They may include a graph for EUI targets or embodied carbon intensity targets, a diagram of glazing areas by orientation, daylight analysis results, and/or other performance-specific diagrams.

Ours uses the same data fields as the AIA 2030 DDX so we have that info in one place (at least in theory!) when it's time to report. Having spent way too much time at a previous job just tracking down square footages, I'm a big fan of this section.  Also includes envelope performance values, both our internal above-code recommendations and blank fields for the design team to input their actual selected values. The hope there is to get design teams thinking about what envelope targets they need to hit for both code and any high performance goals earlier in the design process.
