Summit Follow-Up: Embodied Carbon Decision Making Tree Workshop

Following up on the Decarbonizing Existing Building: Envelope + MEP Solutions Integrative Design Jam, a cohort of us determined a "Decision Making Tree Toolkit" that begins to classify decisions into and "if/then" framework using region, market, climate, scale of intervention, and other factors would be useful in helping us collectively move the dialogue forward.

In addition to myself, Amelia Thrall, Nancy Malone, Stephen Endy, Mary Ann Lazarus, Erica Weeks, and Janet Olson raised their hands to be part of a few hour workshop to try and push through this task. I do not envision this is a long-term working group, but rather a group that might meet 3 - 4 total times to push through developing this kind of decision making tree and making it available across the networks.

This thread serves as the call for volunteers. I'll be taking logistical responsibility for finding time for us to collaborate, but we wanted to make sure the invite went out to the full network to make sure we had as inclusive a group as wanted to participate. If you'd like to add yourself to the list of folks named above, please email me (awilson@asg-architects.com) by end of day on March 12, 2021. After that day I'll be sending follow-up to the folks who want to participate only to pick a meeting time and get this effort moving forward.

I've attached the board from the closing session that specifically identified this action item in case you need more information. Thanks in advance for choosing to join us in this collaboration!
