Summer Summit Output and Resources

Hi! I hope that others who were at Islandwood found it as fulfilling as I did. (Janice and I spent the weekend exploring the island on bicycles--we're just getting on the ferry to Seattle now. It was a great little vacation!)

Let's use this thread to share notes and documents from the Summit. Please post your highlights here, or send them to me or Paula directly (use our first names @buildinggreen.com). We'll also be setting up topic folders for sharing additional resources, as we discussed.

Thanks the 20 people who've already completed the post-Summit survey. If you're not one of them, and you were at the Summit, please do it now.

Yours, Nadav

On Friday I mentioned a book written by a co-worker's friend that I found helpful for understanding and navigating the new (to me) world of pronouns and how important that is for respecting someone's self-identification.  "A Quick & Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns"   https://onipress.com/products/a-quick-easy-guide-to-they-them-pronouns Writer: Archie Bongiovanni and Tristan Jimerson Artist: Archie Bongiovanni Archie, a snarky genderqueer artist, is tired of people not understanding gender neutral pronouns. Tristan, a cisgender dude, is looking for an easy way to introduce gender neutral pronouns to his increasingly diverse workplace. The longtime best friends team up in this short and fun comic guide that explains what pronouns are, why they matter, and how to use them. They also include what to do if you make a mistake, and some tips-and-tricks for those who identify outside of the binary to keep themselves safe in this binary-centric world. A quick and easy resource for people who use they/them pronouns, and people who want to learn more!
