Hello LEED colleagues,
I'm working on a Core & Shell project with multiple buildings under LEED Campus following the Group Approach. I've encountered a challenge when submitting the Minimum Energy Performance form and would appreciate your guidance.
According to the Group Approach guidelines:
- Minimum Energy Performance: Compliance must be demonstrated for each building individually
- Optimize Energy Performance: Points are calculated based on the total (equivalent to simulating all buildings together or summing all results)
The issue arises when attempting to submit the Minimum Energy Performance form. It only allows for single data entry (e.g., one "Total energy cost savings (%)" box).
Could you please advise on the correct method to submit information demonstrating compliance for each individual building within this form? Are there any specific procedures or workarounds for projects with multiple buildings under the Group Approach?
Thank you for your assistance.

In the MEPC under the general information tab you must select YES to the question about whether the project has multiple buildings. Once you select YES it should open up places to enter the results for multiple buildings.

Alvaro, did this work? When my team indicates YES in the general informational tab another tab does not open. Let me know how you added the information to the MEPC. Thanks!

I just downloaded the v4.1 MEPC and on the General Information tab there is no question about multiple buildings. Where do I find this option, or unhide it please? I have 3 buildings in my model, and I need to unlock the multiple buildings tab so that I can fill in the spreadsheet data properly.
Where is the question about multiple buildings in the project?
Thank you.

Hi- I have the MEPC for V4 downloaded, but on the general tab I cannot see the question about selecting yes for multiple buildings. Can you advise where I find this please?

In the General Information tab it is line 20. If you do not see this make sure you have the latest version of the MEPC. Should be v6.

Make sure to select Enable Editing and enable macros if you have not done so.

As far as the v4.1 MEPC I do not see the question either? Let me do some digging.

Yes, it worked for me.
When set to yes the "Project has multiple buildings?" cell it creates a tab of "Multiple Building Detail" tab and thwre you hace to set as many buildings as you have. After it it will automatically create several Performance_Outputs tabs, one per each building.
If it does not work try enabling macros

Regarding the v4.1 MEPC - It seems like they have removed the multiple buildings functionality from the v4.1 MEPC. There are two hidden rows (16-17) in the General Information tab where this used to be. When I unhide them in a separate (unlocked) spreadsheet here’s what is says: Project has multiple buildings? Note: This version of the MEPC does not alow the multiple building function to be used. So this sounds like a question for your LEED Coach or USGBC/GBCI.
