Stasio Competition is now open! Send in your favorite energy modeling graphic to contribute to the online library

Some of us SDLers saw a need to create an online repository for the best simulation graphics and created IBPSA Project Stasio over the last couple of years. Along side graphics is a list of simulation questions (in progress) that we as architects may not know we could ask. The graphics are linked to answer the questions so our simulation buddies can get an idea of how to respond to our questions with a graphic that is intelligible and we can understand.

We've recently redone the website with some funding and are running our second competition, with winners crowned at the ASHRAE Building Performance Conference. Submit something yourself and pass it on to your local university or simulation professional to help crowd-source the library and win fabulous prizes. Deadline 7/15/19 at midnight.

Hello Green Gurus! I’m reviving this thread to let you know that IBPSA’s Project StaSIO is alive and kicking with revamped website features and awesome new graphics. Check it out sometime! The annual competition has been replaced with quarterly “Challenges” focused on targeted building simulation topics. The winter 2022 theme is “Simple Box Modeling” - aka Cycle #1 in ASHRAE Standard 209 - and describes the earliest attempts to inform design decisions through energy simulation and analysis.  The deadline has been extended to Jan. 29th – a little over a week away. Please take a moment to submit a graphic you’ve made and/or share the news with friends and colleagues. While some things have changed, the main objective of Project StaSIO has remained the same – to highlight the value of building performance modeling by showcasing beautiful graphics that connect data with design decisions. The success of this effort relies on submissions from passionate and knowledgeable like you. Thank you all for your help and support! Rushyan
