Solar Panels on Roof

If there are solar panels covering the roof - does this comply for Heat Island Reduction? If so, is there additional information required to be shared regarding the solar panels installed?

Hi Denaye, check out Step 1 under the Step-by-Step Guidance section. It says that you can exclude the roof area covered by solar energy panels from your calculations. As far as supporting documentation goes, I recommend providing a roof plan that clearly identifies the square footage covered by solar panels.
