Hi, the language in v4 is a little different from the v2009. v2009 explicitly says that sites without slopes can automatically qualify for the point. Does v4 remove that option?

Hannah, you've identified an interesting change in v4 that I hadn't noticed. The first sentence of the v4 Requirements states they only apply to sites with slopes greater than 15%. The USGBC description of v4 changes says the credit was rewritten for simplification and clarification of appropriate cases, but I don't recall any LP TAG or staff discussion of removing the v2009 eligibility for flat sites to earn the point. I'll raise this with staff and if it's critical or urgent, you should submit a CIR.

Hannah, another steep slope question on the v4 rating system and discussion with staff have confirmed that flat project sites can no longer earn the credit under v4.
