I have a bungalow unit (single Storey hous) with 3 bedrooms. And each bedroom opens to a Zen Garden of Native plants using a Sliding Glass Door. My question is, are they going to consider the Glass Door as windows, since it is made of Glass?

Filemon,
The Rating System states the following must meet the requirements: design and install windows, skylights, and glass doors whose ratings from the National Fenestration Rating Council exceed the requirements in the ENERGY STAR for Homes, version 3, prescriptive pathway. Therefore, the sliding glass door must meet the requirements of EA credit Windows because the credit applies to all glass fenestration in the building exterior (except for the allowance to exclude up to 0.75% of the window-to-floor-area ratio from the calculations for decorative glass).

Carissa, I follow that logic, but can you please explain why Opaque doors are included in Table 3? Also, Table 3 does not indicate point value like Table 1 and Table 2 do, so it is not clear how Table 3 requirements impact the scoring of this credit. Can you please clarify?
Thank you
