We are the CxA of a hospital that have some requirements of meeting positive or negative pressures in some spaces, for this systems the project cannot comply with the requirement of reducing the air volume to save energy as the contamination within the spaces is priority. Are we allowed to document this spaces under this premise?
The same issue does not allow us to comply with section 6.4.3.1.1 because a variable air volume system that provides zonification will cause that the system do not comply with the pressure requirements.
Can we document the mandatory requirements this way?

Typically you would need to cite an exception that applies to your situation to be excused from having to meet a mandatory provision. If there is not one that you would expect to see I would recommend you look ahead to newer versions of 90.1 to see if the issue has been addressed.
