I am working on a CI project that is located in a single tenant building that has an area more than 75% of the total building area. The building has no parking and none is subsidized. The zoning ordinance does not require any parking, so it seems I can attempt either option under Case 2, but both options require preferred parking for carpools or vanpools. I cannot provide those spaces because there is no parking at all. I noticed the v4 requirements for the Reduced Parking Footprint credit state that "Preferred parking is not required if no off-street parking is provided." Do I need to explain this and reference the v4 requirements as an alternative compliance path or as special circumstances?

J, the v4 requirements are explicitly allowed for this credit as an alternative compliance path, so you could use them if it helps.

Tristan, do you know if all v4 credits can be used as alternative compliance paths for v2009 projects? If so, where can I find this?
