I received a comment back from the GBCI saying that the compliance with regards to bike racks and showers must be demonstrated, independently, by each type of space. In other words, you just can't plug in the total FTE for the building and use the bike rack / shower numbers generated. If I calc everything together I need one more shower than if I calc them separately. The difference is, the SS cr4.2 credit form (Ver 3) is showing no showers required for the retail spaces, when I plug in the SF and FTE numbers. Retail is quite a small percentage of the project (40000 of a 500000sf project) and there are only 69 retail FTE's. So is the burden of providing showers for retail employees, purely on the tenants leasing the retail spaces, and not part of the CS (2009) requirements?
