We have a project with a lot of wood trim/wall panels on the interior. The LEED credit language indicates that all wood coatings that are "site applied" need to meet the VOC content and emissions requirements. In our case, the wood would be coated/stained (precatalyzed lacquer) in the shop and not on site. I don't see a requirement for any "shop applied" products. We intend to require a curing period for these products to be on the safe side, but is my understanding correct that these "shop applied" coatings have no LEED requirements?
