Dear All,
One of our clients is developing a project that includes two buildings (9 levels office tower and a retail building) sharing a common landscape area.
The client intends to certify the office tower (LEED BD+C Core&Shell) but does not intend to certify the retail building. Therefore, only a part of the landscaping area will be located inside LEED Project Boundary.
In what relates to this credit, the whole landscape area (inside and outside LEED Boundary) will be irrigated by a common irrigation system (fed by well water) managed by a single entity. Due to irrigation system design, independent measurement of irrigation inside LEED Boundary would require a large number of meters. Is it acceptable to measure total irrigation water use (both inside and outside LEED Boundary)? Please note that both buildings will be managed by the same entity, so if an irrigation problem occur inside LEED Boundary (e.g., leaks, sub-optimum control, etc.), it will be detected.
Thanks in advance.
