Greetings,
Regarding modeling the Service Hot Water (SHW) for a project assigned to System 5, our approach was:
- SHW load is the same as per Proposed and per Baseline.
- The energy source – natural gas is the same as per Proposed and per Baseline.
- The boiler for the Baseline is Natural Draft as per G3.1.3.2, while for the Proposed it is as per project design.
The question which kind of remain non clear is related to the circulation pumps and it is:
Should we model the SHW circulation pumps (as they are designed in the boiler plant) the same as per Proposed and per Baseline.

Those pumps are not regulated by 90.1 so they are modeled in the baseline identical to the proposed design.
